Relationship between Vaastu and your Interiors!

Geomancy has been a famous subject these days as the construction of business premises are worked out in a way that enhances the profit and growth of the company and houses are built in a manner that brings about good health, harmony, peace, wealth, happiness etc.

Vaastu Sastra is the Indian equivalent of the Chinese Feng Shui. The tough competition between the two countries in becoming a super power has been an ancient struggle between the two countries that dates back to well over thousands of years. While China seems to be a little ahead of India in cultural, technological, economic fronts, Feng Shui is certainly more popular than the Vaastu.

Though the Chinese superiority extends a little beyond India’s ability to nurture, conserve and sell customs, cultures, traditions, technologies etc. Vaastu remains a well nurtured art that incorporates science and more of common sense. This art is inclusive of astrology and may be called as perfect ‘astrophysics’ thought the scientific definition of these terms may vary.

Houses when constructed with the help of the various guidelines of Vaastu will bring in good health, harmony, success in relationships etc. Though Vaastu incorporates Astrology to formulate its guidelines, more of Vaastu is common sense and science. Vaastu may be called the science of architecture.

This science originated before almost around ten thousand years. Mysticism though generally associated with the art or science of architecture and construction is more of a practical custom. Right from the exteriors to the interiors, this art can be applied. The Vaastu guides on where we have to place or construct each room.

This means that the Vaastu suggests the directions which each room has to face, the entry and the exit of the room or of the entire house or premise. The entry of the rooms may have to face a certain direction or be against a certain direction in order to make you feel serenely happy.

People have started recognizing the benefits of Vaastu and any rationalistic debates about vaastu is now history as people do find scientific reasons behind the guidelines of the Vaastu. You may want harmony in your life, peace, relaxation, wealth and so many other things.

Vaastu doesn’t mean something that brings miracles or lets miracles happen and designing your interiors with vaastu will result in mental, psychological, emotional balances fostered by the atmosphere called home, or the house. The benefits of Vaastu are both subjective and objective.

Vaastu immediately heals you of your bad luck that you have had in the past and brings you good luck after the incorporation of the Vaastu in your interiors. If spirituality would mean the satisfaction of the inner self, then Vaastu is equally a spiritual phenomenon. Thereby, Vaastu gives you the same kind of inner feeling that you get through meditation and other spiritual practices.

Hence, with so much of benefits in incorporating such an ancient science or art, the debate related to whether Vaastu is spiritual or not and whether Vaastu’s guidelines are true or not are simply put aside to enhance your lives and bring peace and harmony onto self.

But we fail to understand that building a house by Vaastu’s guidelines does make more sense than building a home or house by mere aesthetic values.
